Manufacturing in India has yet to become globally competitive. Polyjet 3D Printing – Tool for End-use Application

Not limited to design validation, the Outshiney has also extended 3D printing applications for end-use, low-batch production as well. When confronted with the requirement to manufacture 200 identical components for integration into one of their products, the initial plan involved traditional mold creation. However, after assessing cost and time projections using their inhouse Stratasys 3D Printers and contrasting them with mold tooling expenses, the company swiftly revised their approach. The Polyjet 3D Printing machine facilitated the printing of all components within a single night, resulting in efficient production at a cost-effective rate.

Results

By integrating Stratasys 3D Printers into their internal design process, Outshiney has gained the capability to create design prototypes in-house, eliminating the need to outsource them to external entities. This shift has bolstered security and minimized associated risks. Previously, the process of sending models out for testing consumed a significant amount of time, but with the utilization of this resin 3D Printer, reliance on external suppliers has significantly decreased. Now, designers can swiftly make necessary modifications on the computer, incorporate desired colors and textures, and print the prototype within a matter of hours.
