Avesta Enterprises are in the field of design and development of various types of finishers and profiles of front and rear glass rubber, door winding glasses, reveal moulding, and body side trims.
AVESTA ENTERPRISES PVT LTD designs develop and manufacture a wide range of coextruded TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomers) profiles with various metal inserts such as CRCA/ Aluminum / Stainless Steel. They are also producing coextruded seals with PP and TPE along with seals with 3 composite materials in different harnesses. These profiles are being used for various sealing applications in the automotive and non-automotive industries.
Challenges:
Avesta Enterprises not only focuses on speedy designing but also on the quality and accuracy of the designs. To achieve the first time-right product, it must achieve high quality and accuracy at the design level itself be it part or the tool to manufacture the part.
Their end customer also analyses and integrates all the parts in 3D models with the vehicle environment to minimize development lead time.
Due to the complexity of the 3D modelling parts, it was difficult and time-consuming to provide all the details for dimensions and tolerances in a 2D drafting environment therefore the customer needed a solution for giving annotations, dimensions, and tolerance to intrinsic parts or sections of the product.
Solution:
Avesta Enterprises is using Dassault Systèmes India’s CATIA V5 PLM Express solution for Mechanical Design, Surface Design, and Sheet Metal Design. In addition to this, they are making extensive use of 3D Tolerancing, and annotation workbench which is available in CATIA V5 PLM express solution.

The capability to extract dynamic cross sections for CATIA designs and seamlessly saving them in CATIA Drafting (2D) greatly contributes to achieving superior precision while minimizing time investment, ultimately boosting productivity.
CATIA Design for Manufacturing helped the customer to validate the product at the designing stage with desired quality.
